Novaland
Virtual real estate, connected to commerce
Overview
The project at a glance
Next.js interfaces, NestJS APIs, and PostgreSQL integrations for a virtual real estate and retail platform, with 3D assets and smart-contract events connected to the web client.
- Interfaces, APIs, and data integrations
- Full-stack
- Assets and events connected to the web client
- 3D + Web3
- Separate delivery environments
- Dev / Stage / Prod
Scope & contribution
Novaland is a blockchain-powered platform for virtual real estate, interactive retail storefronts, and ecommerce. As a full-stack contributor at Twist Digital, I build reusable Next.js interfaces, NestJS REST APIs, and Prisma/PostgreSQL data integrations. My work also connects 3D assets and smart-contract events to the web client so navigation and application state work together.

The story
Decisions behind the delivery
01One experience across several systems
A virtual storefront brings together a rendered scene, familiar shopping interfaces, backend data, and blockchain events. Those systems update at different times. My part of the work is connecting them so the browser can present a coherent experience while the underlying state changes.
02Interfaces and the services behind them
I implement reusable Next.js components alongside NestJS REST endpoints and Prisma/PostgreSQL integrations. This spans both the visible interface and the server-side features it depends on, with requirements clarified alongside the wider engineering, design, and QA team.
03Bringing 3D assets and live state together
I integrate assets into Three.js and Babylon.js experiences and connect smart-contract events to client state. Coordinating asynchronous API responses with rendering-engine updates is a central part of the work, alongside translating design mockups into reusable interfaces.
04Contributing within a product team
The work continues across development, staging, and production environments. I configure custom domains and GitHub Actions workflows, contribute to architecture discussions, and coordinate with clients, marketing, engineers, designers, and QA to turn requirements into deliverable work.
